Lewis Alessandra has joined Chester City on trial with the possibility of a loan in the offing. Dave Penney has told the youngster that he does not figure in his immediate first team plans and feels that a loan spell away from Boundary Park will give him some valuable playing experience. Alessandra played and scored in a friendly for Chester against Burnley yesterday. Chester are managed by former Latics boss Mick Wadsworth and are currently in administration so no deals of any kind can be undertaken until their financial situation is resolved.
