As the administration deadline approaches later today, The Oldham Times have given some optimism to the Latics' fans by publishing the following story:
“Oldham Athletic owner Abdallah Lemsagam has reportedly agreed a deal to buy Boundary Park – seemingly staving off the threat of administration.
Latics were due in court tomorrow over a debt approaching £600,000 owed to landlords Brassbank.
It could have seen the League Two club plunged into administration, taking the club out of Lemsagam’s hands.
Negotiations have been on-going since court papers were served last Friday as the Moroccan former football agent attempted to avoid the club's future being decided in the courtroom.
The hearing could now either be shelved completely or adjourned for a later date.”
